Signing Ceremony for Memorandum of Understanding with the State Geological Museum of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On November 10, Professor NAKADA Kazuto, Dean of the Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences, hosted a signing ceremony to conclude a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the State Geological Museum under the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, Republic of Uzbekistan. This agreement aims to advance joint research and field investigations utilizing Uzbekistan's valuable geological specimens, a collaboration led by Associate Professor TANAKA Kohei of the Department of Geosciences.

The ceremony was attended by Professor TSUNOGAE Toshiaki, Dean of the Degree Programs in Life and Earth Sciences, and Professor AKIYAMA Shigeki, Executive Dean of the Graduate School of Science and Technology, who also signed the agreement. During the event, both Professor NAKADA and Dr. Akhmadjon SH. Akhmedshaev, Director of the State Geological Museum, expressed their strong commitment to future academic exchange.

This partnership is expected to further promote and expand joint research between the two institutions.
